Lecturer profile:
Zhao Baojin, male, doctor, professor. In 1977, he was admitted to Chengdu University of Technology and obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees. Later, he studied at Auckland University of New Zealand and the Jinshan University of South Africa and obtained his doctor's degree. At present, he is a foreign expert on the platform for high-efficiency development of deep oil shale gas in Southwest Petroleum University and chief scientist of the center for geological and Environmental Studies (gate) of the Department of Environment, University of South Africa. He has been a professor of the University of Fort Hare in South Africa, director of the Department of Geology and Dean of the School of Science, visiting professor of the Department of Geology of Yale University, visiting professor of China University of Mining and Technology, Chengdu University of Technology and Henan University of Technology, senior geologist of mining companies such as Jintian company and Hamney gold company, and chief geochemist of PhD environmental engineering company, senior geological consultant and senior management of Worley Parsons engineering consulting company. He is a senior member of the Society of Economic Geologists, a member and director of the Geological Society of South Africa, a member of the Royal Academy of Sciences of South Africa, a registered scientist of South Africa, an overseas accreditation expert of Chinese Changjiang Scholars, and the president of the Southern African Federation of experts, scholars and engineers (CPOSA). He has published nearly 70 scientific papers and monographs. As the director of scientific research projects and the National Key Projects in South Africa, he has completed a number of research projects of the National Science Foundation of South Africa (NRF) and the South African Water Research Council (WRC).
