Release time:2020-01-02 10:00:00

At the invitation of Prof. Gao Hong and associate professor Huang Tao, college of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University, professor Tian Chongguo, from Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences visited Lanzhou University for academic exchanges from December 29 to 31, 2019, and made an academic report entitled "Analysis of PM2.5sources in Bohai sea area" in lecture room 1009, Guanyun Building on December 30.

In this report, professor Tian Chongguo elaborated on the sources of PM2.5 in the Bohai sea region of China and its contribution to the flux into the Bohai Sea. The content covered various aspects including the current situation of the regional atmospheric environment in the Bohai Sea, the input process of pollutants from land sources, the construction of observation systems, chemical composition, and source analysis. This lecture focused on the coupling of 14C Source Analysis Method and Positive Definite Matrix Factor (PMF) method recommended by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as well as the application of the Non-negative Matrix Factor (NMF) method developed by the research team and the Bayesian nitrogen isotope mixing model in PM2.5 source analysis. Finally, he had research prospects on the application of the Bayesian isotope method in secondary aerosol source analysis.

After the report, Prof. Tian communicated with the students and teachers on different forms of nitrogen and sulfur sampling methods,14C sample determination, and advantages and disadvantages of different methods for analyzing PM2.5 sources.
